We have purchased two pieces of the Arduino MKR NB1500. both of which sufffer from a modem lockup after 1-4hrs operation where a power down reset is required to get them working again.
They are both firmware rev 5.06 and ublox firmware release document https://www.u-blox.com/sites/default/files/SARA-R410M-02B-01_PCN_%28UBX-19024506%29.pdf for firmware 5.08 lists a lot fixes for modem lockups.
Will Telstra replace the MKR NB1500 boards we have with upgraded versions unser warranty? The firmware upgrade process is not very well documented and looks a little bleeding edge making it look fairly risky to upgrade the firmware ourselves.
Thanks
Steve

Hi Steve,
I have been advised that you need to contact the arduino support for this issue and they will guide you with next steps. You can reach them via https://www.arduino.cc/en/contact-us/ page and provide the following details along the description of the issue you encountered.
Company Name:

Apparently Ublox will supply the firmware if the request is made with a support ticket, so that is what I've done.

I've successfully updated the firmware on the Ublox SARA-R410M-020B-00 modem MKR NB 1500 to L0.0.00.00.05.12,A.02.19.
Step by step instructions are posted on the Arduino forum https://forum.arduino.cc/index.php?topic=731275.0
